pre-requisite : having attended the whittling workshop , have an inclination and interest in hand written materials. Preferably attend an introductory session and submit a sample of personal hand written material belonging to the intended attendee. workshop goes for about one hour and a half. It involves using hand tools, sharp objects, sanding, power drill and some oils that helps protect the material you are using. things like bone, wood, feathers, found objects etc can be brought in for possibly using as quills, however, it is suggested that as a beginners class high and desirable consideration should be emphasised using materials provided in order to have a foundation of purpose and functional outcome. classes can be done in groups, via zoom or one on one.

Please note : this workshop involves the use of sharp and pointy tools. It also requires attention, patience, focus and ultimately the desire to learn as you go. A beginners class. Wood suitability is also discussed . duration : 90 minutes.

Using the options of locally sourced antlers, This class is facilitated using the method or mark making on bone. Scrimshaw also occurs using traditionally whale teeth , black ink and inscribing on its surface using a sail needle. Sure, these items can be sources but for now and as an introduction, availability and suitability will be just as beautifully the use of weathered antlers for educational purposes. Pre-requisites, an understanding and functioning skill of drawing, composition and inscribing on hard surfaces using the tool accordingly. you will be working with animal products and no machinery will be used. The strength of your hand will dictate whether it can be appropriate for you as the surface is hard, at times (most) slippery. Control of inscribing is essential. You can practice with a nail on a metal surface to get an idea of what you will be getting into. Prices per class per person start at $280. Depending on what material you will choose. Wood (hardwood) is also available if using animal products is an issue, however, other people attending the class or tutorial will be using animal products unless other arrangements of class are made.

​Back in June 2023, Vinman Studio conducted its inaugural Psychic sketching class, it was raw, romantic, exploratory, meditative, reflective and definitely courageous with its intention and participation. Uploaded with permission some of these outcomes manifested dreams, perceptions, subjective and intuitive details of psychic abilities contained in the sphere of visual language, however abstract and traditional. Why? because the goal is to put a foot inside our very own existence and reality while holding onto a somewhat language that makes sense. As much as the same way we raise to stand up and decipher our purpose in life. Pre-requisite, an understanding of art materials, their purpose and basic mastery to depict personal and internal energies of psychic abilities. It would be ideal for participants to understand and adhere to the foundation of the class as a beginning to a particular intention of the class and wherever to, it might take you. It is a 2 hour class using objects as inspiration, memories, feelings, memories and general points of reference to either share or be of personal nature. Groups, zoom or individual classes are available. Prices vary accordingly and tailored to time , delivery and individual research purpose.
